Born in Leipzig (Saxony, Germany), Robert passed four years in Lyon and a two years long in-house training at the German newspaper Saarbrücker Zeitung. Today, he is based in Strasbourg at the «invisible» border in between of Germany and France. He mainly works about France, the EU, right-wing extremism, water issues and other cross-border investigative stories for National media from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg and France. Robert co-wrote the documentary «Interpol – Who Controls the World Police?» (ARTE, 2018). In 2014, Robert was a cofounder of We Report, an European journalist network.
