I am a digital editor, trainer and journalist with 20 years of experience, including managing newsrooms and budgets across a variety of titles. My topic specialisms include technology, business, newsroom management, social care, burnout and disinformation. I have a strong track record in digital innovation and audience insights, reacting to the new ways people now consume news and I have coached journalists around the world.

I’ll be speaking at Dataharvest Digital in my capacity as a freelance journalist. I’m a co-founder of the Society of Freelance Journalists, which has grown to 1,000 members in the space of six months. Our network flags up job opportunities, offers free training and our Slack channel is a safe space for freelance journalists to celebrate wins and seek help and advice from fellow colleagues.
